Maths: Maths multiplication word problems

LI: Solving multiplication problems in everyday contexts

Today for maths we did multiplication problems. I really liked this activity because the questions were really fun and creative. I worked with Sylis. There are some trick questions. One of them were to write how he could work it out? Most people just wrote the answer. We were having trouble on the last questions but, we managed to answer them.

3 Strategy

This is my DLO on the three different strategy's for multiplication, I have learnt all three of them so far. I found find them very useful because they are very quick strategy's. My favourite one is the rounding and compensating, that is my favourite because I find it the fastest strategy to work out multiplication. 

Halving and Doubling Problem Solving

This is my DLO multiplication problem solving. I had to first learn the strategy. This strategy is a very efficient way to solve multiplication. I had to explain how to do the strategy and give some examples. I did this because I wanted to share my strategy.

Mathsmulti - 8,3,9

This is my result for my multiplication. I did 8, 3 and 9. It's really hard remembering your timetables because there are a lot and you get confused. I did this because to see my results on my multiplication. Next time I will try and get it under 37 seconds.
