Winter Learning Journey

For this Winter Learning Journey activity I had to go on a website and red about a place called Farewell Spit. It was on the news not long ago. Some whales swam into a spit and got stuck. They couldn't get back into the ocean because the water was very shallow. The local people tried their best to keep the whales alive, unfortunately many of them died. I had to describe what the local people tried to do to save them. This is what they did:
1. They filled bowls, chilly bins, water bottles, cooking pots with water to keep the whales wet.
2. The grabbed towel and drenched them in water and placed it on the whales.
3. They filled buckets of water to pour onto the whales.

  5. Hey Oh Hsen!

I can imagine the people just used anything they could to transfer water from the sea to the whales just to keep them wet! It would have been a hard and tiring job Do you think you would have helped?

  6. Hi Oh Hsen
That must have been tough, carrying buckets and bowls full of water again and again. I certainly wouldn't have liked it! Keep it up
