Maths Game - rounding numbers

This is my score on Bike Racing Math Rounding. My score was 7,350 and I came first. It was a game where I had to beat the other racers the only way to go faster is to get your answers right. My questions were rounding numbers. I really enjoyed playing this game. This is my favourite Math game I've played so far.

New Zealand Flag

New Zealand has not changed the flag. The current flag still stays. More people voted to keep the flag. 

Home learning - Grand Palace

This is my homework I did with Cyrus. This week's topic was Grand Palace Cyrus helped me out when I asked him who uses the Grand Palace. I did this because I wanted to find about the Grand palace and because I was born in Bangkok Thailand.

This is my presentation on Charles Darwin. I had to tell who he is, Why is he famous, what his quote is and some facts. I did this because I wanted to find out about Charles Darwin. My favourite silde doing was the facts because there were some interesting facts.

Place value maths game

This is my result on a quiz game. I had to answer some place value questions. The first few questions were easy until I got asked question with numbers over 10 million units. I did this to see my results on place value.

New Zealand flag vote

LS2 voted whether we wanted to change the flag or not. We had to listen and respect people's opinions and we did. Our learning intention was to make an inform choice (a choice based on information.) Before we voted we got into our thinking groups and wrote down why we should change it and why we shouldn't change it. 

Place value game

This is my result in my maths game for place value. I had to answer some easy questions but the last three questions were quite tricky. The hardest question was the money one I didn't understand the sign so I took a guess. I did this because I wanted to see how well I know my place values. 

6 times tables

This is my result on answering 20 question in under a minute. I got it all correct in 38 seconds. Our task was to try and beat one of your time tables you've done. I beat my old 6 time tables. My last one was 46 I beat it by 8 seconds.

Reading can do - Story scavenger hunt

This is my reading can do story scavenger hunt I did with Cyrus. The article we read was Seeds for birds. This time my favourite one was an interesting facts because I thought the fact was really interesting. I did this because I was interested in the article.

Reading can do - Story map

Cyrus, Rodney and I did a reading can do. This time we did an even bigger challenge. We had to think of a story we've read. Next we had to write our script because we needed to explain the story using voice recorder. After that we had to draw what happens. The last we needed to do was record ourslves say our script. This is my emaze presentation on how to stand up to bullies. I also had write what to do when a bully is trying to pick a fight, when they insult you and if a bully keeps bullying you. I did this because people get bullied a lot and if they come across this presentation they would know what to do.

Maths multiplication 3,4 & 7

These are my results for my multiplication. I got asked 20 questions. I had to complete it in under a minute. my favourite one was the 7 times tables because I have been practising them and it is the most challenging one out of 3 and 4. I did this to see how good I am in times tables especially for 7 times tables.  

Maths can do - Play a maths game with a buddy

Sylis and I played a game called multiplying by 10. Playing the game was fun. The first and second game Sylis won but the last game I won. We had to get a dice and a counter. We had to put our counter on the start. The next step we have to roll the dice whatever number it lands on you have to move up the line. The box that you are on has a multiplication question and you have to answer it.

Reading can do current events

This is my current events can do for reading. I came across a really interesting article. The question I enjoyed answering was why it happened because it was challenging. I did this because the article was interesting. I learnt that flies fill a vital role in the environment.

Home learning - Leaning tower of pisa

Daniel and I did made an Emaze presentation on home learning. This week topic was The Leaning Tower Of Pisa. We used Emaze for our DLO because we had to use a different DLO. It was fun using Emaze I really like the template. I did this because I wanted to find out about The Leaning Tower Of Pisa. I learnt facts about The Leaning Tower Of Pisa.

Cyrus, Harlem and I had to make a DLO. Next we had to explain what happened what happened using images and text boxes. We did this because we haven't done this before and it sounded exciting and fun. 

Reading can do- interesting Words

This is my word line. I had to find interesting words and then explain it. The more interesting it is the higher the word goes up the line. I did this because it sounded fun and I could learn new words. The new words I learnt were idioms and nostalgic.

Maths patterrn

This my score on ordering numbers. I had to count backwards in two's.The first three levels were easy. the numbers go higher when you start going up higher levels. First it was easy but when you start to play it more it get confusing. This was a maths activity I enjoyed playing it.

Maths multiplication mixed times tables

This is my results in multiplication for mixed. I got all of them right in 52 seconds. I need to work on my times tables to get a better result. To get a better result I will need to practice at home. When I come to school in the morning I could ask one of my friends to test me or I could keep doing mixed times tables on mathsmulti. Tech - Fruit salad

The Yr 7s made fruit salad for week 5. The first thing we were talking about was knives. The ingredients were grapes oranges, Kiwi fruits, apples, chocolate chip, dark chocolate and pineapple juice. I enjoyed making it. My favourite was putting the chocolate chip and the dark chocolate in the cup of fruit salad. I learnt how to make fruit salad.

SmartTimesavers

This is my Smart timesavers I did with Daniel and Aj. This is a DLO that will tell you how to find stuff faster on the internet and how to use the find bar. I did this because it was a task. I learnt how to find stuff on the internet a lot faster. 

Science - Oobleck

For our third activity for science was Oobleck. First we had to put four tablespoons of cornflower. Next we had to wake a bring all the cornflower to the edges of the bowl. After that we had to put food colouring in the cup of water. Then add little by little of water in the bowl. Soon it would become harder. We had to keep mixing it. Once we finished we pooked it and our fingers did not get wet but when we grabbed it dripped like liquid.  We learnt that it was a nonewtonian fluid.

Science - Baking soda & Vinegar

For group three the second activity for science in LS2 was Baking soda and vinegar. We learnt another word for baking soda it is called bicarbonate of soda. When we to poured the vinegar in the baking soda it started to rise and bubbles came out. The next thing we did was the change the type of vinegar. When we poured in the different vinegar more bubbles came out and it stunk really bad.

Science - How to be a scientist

Our topic this term is science. For LS2 we split up into three groups. I am in group three. We had to make a Google presentation on how to be a scientist. If you don't understand some words there will be an explanation for it. I did this because I wanted to learn how to be a scientist. I learnt some new science words.

This is my homework I did with my buddy Reon. We had to research about the Mona Lisa. We used Google drawing because I've used Google presentations twice and I wanted to challenge myself. I learnt a lot of interesting facts about the Mona Lisa.

This is my mathsmalti I did 6,7 and 8 times tables. I got all of them in time before a minute. I did this because I wanted to see how good I am at maths multiplication. This time I think In did a lot better. I learnt my 8, 7 and 6 times tables faster.
