This afternoon LS2 was focusing on poems. I learnt about rhyming couplets. It is a poem that has a rhyming word at the end of every second line. An example of a rhyming couplet is, Min the cat is black and white, He plays all day and sleeps all night.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Dance
Today for dance we have been learning which music best fits our dance. We had to find music that syncs with our dance moves. Today we had Eric and Tiava perform the warm up. The one I found most challenging in their warm up was the plank. We then moved on to our dance moves. My partner Dallas was away today so, I partnered up with Shannon. We came up with new moves today. The last thing we did for dance was get a pair to perform the dance moves in front of everyone in the class.

Haiku DLO
In LS2 we have been creating Haiku's (three lines, the first line has five syllables, the second seven syllables and the last five syllables). We watched clip of how Maui brought fire to the world. We then had to create five Haiku's about the clip in chronological (time) order.

Clock Design
Today at tech we were making a start on our clocks, The first thing we did was find a person we want to make the clock for and write down what they like. We then had to make a a DLO on what we liked. The last thing we did was draw ideas of what we want our clock to be.
Inquiry DLO
This is a my Inquiry DLO that Shannon and I both completed. We first had to find out how how much and what types of rubbish ends up in the ocean. We then had to find out the percentage and put it in a graph. The next thing we did was write the information. The last thing we did was write how both Shannon and I can become an agent of change.

Tatau DLO
This is a DLO about Tatau's (tattoo). I had two choices, the first choice was to research about Kilikiti (a sport mixed with softball and cricket. I chose to do the Tatau DLO. This DLO includes how they get a Tatau traditionally, facts and why people get it. I enjoyed making this DLO because I have learnt more about Samoans tradition.
