ReplyDeleteKia ora Oh Hsen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for attempting on finishing this task. Your pepeha is such a important part of who you are, because it's about acknowledgement of your past and your ancestors, by honouring our past and family we become stronger and that will reflect in our present and future.
Although I am aware that some information on the traditional pepeha can be a bit tricky to find out such as your "waka", you can skip this one, still I think you could add a little bit more into yours.
See bellow:
Ko ________________________ tōku tīpuna My founding ancestor is… (please add your grandfather or great-grandfather name)
Ko ________________________ tōku iwi My tribe is… ( please add you both parents surname)
Ko ________________________ tōku hapu My sub-tribe is… ( please add your surname)
Ko ________________________ tōku marae My marae is… (please add a church or a place where you family get together to talk and reflect about things)
In order for you to gain full points for this activity could you do that and let me know?
Dig in and keep blogging!
Kia Kaha,
Patricia
Hello Oh Hsen
ReplyDeleteWell done on completing this summer learning journey activity. Your pepeha so far is great. I like how you made pepeha slightly bigger than the other words so it's easier to see. Keep up the superb work.
