Winter Learning Journey

Today is the start of the Winter Learning Journey. The first activity is to find three facts about New Zealand from a website that was given to us. 

1. Did you know most of New Zealand is populated by Europeans. 
2. One third of New Zealand's population live in Auckland.
3. Rugby is the most Popular sport in New Zealand.

    Hello Oh Hsen, I didn't know that most people living in New Zealand are Europeans. Remember to double check your work before you post it on your blog. Keep on blogging during the winter holidays.

    Kia ora Oh Hsen and welcome back to the holiday blogging programme! As always, it is such a pleasure to have you blogging with us. I have enjoyed reading your first post and have learned that one third of the New Zealand population lives in Auckland. That is a huge statistic, isn't it? Speaking of statistics, do you know exactly how many people living in New Zealand are of European descent? It would be interesting to find out...

    It would also be interesting to know how and when rugby became such a popular sport here in New Zealand. It is not half as popular in Canada (my home country) as it is here in NZ. Having said that I have now become a huge rugby fan and I do my best to watch all of the All Blacks' games. Did you see the game last night by any chance? I watched it late last evening and was on the edge of my seat. It was such a close game...

    I hope that you will continue to share your great learning with us over the break. As AJ has suggested, be sure to check your posts for spelling and punctuation as you are one of our leaders for the programme and it would be awesome if you could set a great example for others to follow.     I didn't know that one third of the population of New Zealand live in Auckland. It doesn't seem pretty crowded. I kind of knew that rugby is the most popular sport in New Zealand. Well done.

    I dint know that 1/3 of New Zealands population lived in Auckland, and since there are so many boats per 100 people, no wonder its called the city of sails!
