For the first activity of the Summer Learning Journey I had to pick one country I would visit. I chose Germany because I am really interested in their language. Another reason is because one of their national sport is Soccer and Soccer is my favourite sport.
Hello Oh Hsen, I really like how you explained why you would like to travel to Germany. I decided to travel to Mexico and it would be great if you commented on my blog post. Keep up the awesome work.
ReplyDeleteHi Oh Hsen,
ReplyDeleteI like how your put your reasons why you would want to visit Germany and also why you picked Germany. For my country is Malaysia I would be so happy if you comment on my blog post as well. Great work Oh Hsen hope to see more.

Hi Oh Hsen!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme. It is fabulous to have you back!
I love that you have chosen to visit Germany this summer. It is a fascinating country with a very long and involved history. I think that you will learn a huge amount about it over the next 4 weeks and be able to share your learning with myself and the rest of the blogging team!
I see from your post that your favourite sport is soccer. That's really cool! Do you play soccer for a specific team here in Auckland? If so, do you have any games over the summer time? My son, Aronui, has been asking to join a soccer team this year. He just turned 6 and he really wants to learn how to play. How old were you when you started playing soccer?
Hope to see you online anytime that you're able to log on and blog over the summer!
Cheers,
Rachel
Thanks for commenting. I will be sure to upload more activities. I'm not in a Soccer team in Auckland but last year we had after school Soccer every Tuesdays. Only 20 people were chosen AJ and I were both chosen. We would learn different skills, play warm up games and have Soccer games. I can't remember when I first started playing but I think I started playing Soccer when I was 6.
DeleteWow! That's really impressive, Oh Hsen. I hope that you and AJ enjoyed playing for the team. Will you try out again this year?
DeleteCheers, Rachel
Kia ora Oh Hsen,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining the Summer Learning Journey programme. I'm excited to follow your blogs taking us around Germany over the next four weeks.
My name is Dan and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.
I like that you've chosen Germany for your Summer Learning Journey. It has such an intriguing history which will be so much fun to learn all about! Their language is definitely interesting, do you speak any German at all?
It's always good to want to learn more and to keep an open mind about different countries and cultures. It's great that you play soccer, I play soccer too. Do you think you might join a team in Auckland next year? I play over in Devonport at North Shore United and I love it, it's a lot of fun playing with my friends over there. What position do you like to play in the most?
Thanks for starting your blogs Oh Hsen, I'm looking forward to reading all of them.
Cheers,
Dan.
P.S. I am super impressed that you've written so many blogs already, and managed to reply and comment on other people's blogs too. Awesome work, keep it up!

I agree with you, I think Oh Hsen's reasons for wanting to see Germany sound like fun! Maybe you could have a go at picking a destination for your very own learning journey if you're interested? That way everyone else could comment on your blogs as well, and I think that would be pretty cool!
In the meantime, keep up the awesome commenting :-)
Dan.
Hi Oh Hsen
ReplyDeleteGreat start on the summer learning journey. Germany is pretty good at soccer (I remember watching them beat Argentina in the FIFA world cup). Keep up the good work.
